Change of Microsoft Flow and PowerApps licensing
Microsoft Flow and Microsoft PowerApps are powerful online an hybrid solutions for creating innovative business apps and workflows. Both PowerApps and Flow are part of the Enterprise series Office 365 suites and with that ‘free of charge’. That is going to change as of February 1st 2019.
The change affects organizations using one of the following capabilities:
• Integration of on-premises data through the on-premises data gateway
• Custom connectors
• HTTP triggers and actions inside Microsoft Flow
Starting February 1st 2019 users of Microsoft Office 365 Enterprise series suites will need a separate PowerApps or Microsoft Flow Plan 1 of Plan 2 subscription. This is for new subscriptions only. Current users who want to keep using these capabilities can request an extension via Microsoft support before January 31st 2019 to ensure uninterrupted service. The extension will run for 12 months or up to the end of the current subscription, whichever is longer.
